At the village of Al Lajjoun, in Al Karak Governorate, 200Km from Amman, ground water with a high content of iron and turbidity extracted from wells.
At Al Lajjoun water treatment Plant the water is treated by oxidation, settling and filtration in pressurized sand filters. The treated water is conveyed to a storage tank from where it is pumped to Jordan's capital Amman. The water is used for drinking water.
